What do you see when you look up in the sky? This blog is dedicated to one photo / day of whatever I see whenever I look around. It's not limited to my physical, but also my virtual eyes.
I wonder what I'll see next?
"I love this story. Kevin Bolk is a satirical cartoonist who's changed the character poses on the Avengers Movie poster so that Black Widow looks like she's going to do something / ready for action and all of the men are just showing off their asses."
"Part of my job involves doing interviews for positions in the team. The interviewees get dressed up, so normally I try and look my best as well.
So just as I got out of the car this morning and as K walked around to swap seats, said 'Oh, your shirt has a mark on it.' I thought *OK, there's a mark* - then I saw the mark and said 'Oh shit!'
A quick ring around and a borrowed shirt later I was ready for the interview.
"We have a lot of geckos in Queensland. Some nights we can see a half dozen or more. Rarely though do you get to see the underside of one. This shot was taken through the kitchen window."
"The chances of being killed by space debris aren't really high (see post title above), but the adventitious of
being killed when caught out in a hailstorm is 106:1. Remember to look up and live."
Ok, so it's Brisbane and sunny, but you never know☺
"We had a great dinner tonight. Soy and Spice Steak, mixed, steamed vegetables on a bed of mashed sweet potato. On the way back from Rockhampton, we stopped at the Calliope Markets and bought some 'Bush Spice Mix' from Green Valley Spices which is a mix of various native herbs and spices gathered from the bush (or wilderness for non-Australians).
"Hmm, so I forgot to put up a post yesterday. I was hoping it'd be at least a month before I did something so stupid. The above quote is from Friedrich Nietzsche a German classical Scholar, Philosopher and Critic of culture who lived from 1844 - 1900."
"Tonight is a (proper) full moon and the moon's orbit is in perigee (the closest point to the Earth) so the moon appears much larger and brighter than usual. This definately seems the case as it's almost impossible to get a good photo with my camera!"
